As a member of Gender Equity Victoria (GEN VIC), the peak body for gender equity in the State, we contributed to this budget submission, in order to amplify the voices and needs of marginalised women and gender diverse birthing people.

We were also pleased to see that Birth for Humankind has been officially recommended as a priority investment organisation to provide:
“Affordable solutions to birthing and pregnancy support…(by) expand(ing) integrated non-clinical birth support for pregnant women [and gender diverse birthing people] experiencing social and financial disadvantage.”
