Birth for Humankind

Bringing Baby Home: A free training session in the City of Yarra

Do you live or work in the City of Yarra and want to help new parents in your community?

Join this one-day session to learn how our (volunteer) community doula model helps new parents – especially those facing systemic disadvantage – feel more confident and supported.

Discover how you can help strengthen the connection between families and local services, while fostering a nurturing environment that empowers parents during the critical postnatal period.

Session Overview

  • Introduction to postnatal doula skills and knowledge (learning how to support new parents and link them with essential services).
  • Explore pathways to complete BFH’s full doula training and join our volunteer doula program.
